This CBA is more about he owners protecting themselves from each other than anything else.

Philly, probably the number one NHL city in US in terms of strength of market. Past Detroit and others imo.

I'm also impressed weber CHOSE Philly to sign with. He didn't have to after the last 3 LTC's were shipped out. Weber's contract will bring Philly to $70.2 million without dipping into prongers LTIR.

Its a win win either way for Philly. Problem for Poile is if weber is disgruntled and Poile accepts the offer..... the rules state he can't trade weber for 1 year from the offer date which means he is on the hook for $27 million no matter what. That's a lot of cash for 1 year.
