So if the flyers land weber with that cap hit, how on earth are they going to pay hartnell and simmonds next year when they are free agents? |

They pay one and let the other go.
I'm sure if Weber goes to the Flyers, there will be other moves made. |

Three recent tweets which go along with some comments from here....
Homer isn't afraid and has Snyder who wants to win a Cup every year. Deep, deep pokets and a hunger for Cups.
This CBA is more about he owners protecting themselves from each other than anything else.
Philly, probably the number one NHL city in US in terms of strength of market. Past Detroit and others imo.

I'm still in awe. Great move by homer I never saw coming. I knew he really wanted weber... and figured that was slowing up some of his other moves for forwards.... but wow.
I'm also impressed weber CHOSE Philly to sign with. He didn't have to after the last 3 LTC's were shipped out. Weber's contract will bring Philly to $70.2 million without dipping into prongers LTIR. |

It isn't a done deal yet. Poile still could match the offer. |

Timonen's $6.3 comes off the books. Should be more than enough. |

Now you know why there was a big offer made to keep Carle...
Well I agree but Weber HAD to sign the offer sheet. |

As long as they have the $$ to match the front end payments Nashville will match. |

That's the big question...if Nashville can pony up the bucks up front. |

Its a win win either way for Philly. Problem for Poile is if weber is disgruntled and Poile accepts the offer..... the rules state he can't trade weber for 1 year from the offer date which means he is on the hook for $27 million no matter what. That's a lot of cash for 1 year. |
