I wouldn't want the Hawks to offer sheet a Shea Weber, the compensatory picks would be ludicrous. Would not have a decent pick for years.

I think that's a cop out. Flyers haven't had their own 1st round pick for 3 straight seasons until this draft. What they do well is scout and get undrafted free agents like read, bobrovsky, hovinen, kessell. They also trade proven talent for developed prospects (I.e. take less gambles at the draft and let other teams farm the talent). I Always hear the hawks have a young core and think... they do? Philly doesn't have a 'core' per say..... but if they did they are much younger. Many weren't even drafted by Philly.

Under 35 contracts are much more flexible on the cap. I'm sure its front loaded. Hope we get Shea. I thought it might happen via trade and it would cost Couturier, Coburn++++ .... gladly give the picks over the players.
