I have very little use for Sharp, but that is still a gross overpayment by the Hawks. - Ogilthorpe2
Really, I thought he played well last year? Overpayment maybe, but a reason for fa's not to come here. Idk, maybe there's something I'm missing? |

And you need a Selke winner on wing to make up for Kane's d-zone deficiencies. - StLBravesFan
Whatever, he's as good as Sharp defensively, and they won a cup with him as 2C. |

Not at all....they messed withn him last year and I think it hurt his production.
He does not have the tools or mental make-up to play that role consistantly well. A center has to do so much more than be a high lite real set-up guy. - bogiedoc
That is a silly comment he put up his best numbers there. The reason they were down was his shooting % was down 2 points from where it should have been and their power play was crap.
His creativity speed passing ability and shot (when not needing preseason surgery) as well as better play in the other two zones clearly dictate that.
Plekanec or Statsny or Getzlaf would obviously be better but other than that I really don't think there is anyone near available or better in their system. The guy did pretty darn good there for not having played that position in 10 years. |

Could really use a bruiser of a LW to play with 88/81 though...preferably one who can take draws. |

With a much better team.
If you need a 2C - go get a 2C - don't keep trying to fill slots with unproven resources - that's what you do if you say you're nt going to contend until 2014-2015 - it's not what you do when you better be in the race next year. |

C'mon ogi, I know you got the sharpie hates, but kaner ain't nowhere near the 2 way player sharpie is. Has kaner ever played the PK? I know, "greatest passer ever"!
Still think your significant other has the hots for sharpie and it pisses you off to no end. Just can't understand how you think sharp is a dbag and Kane is all that??? |

Agreed...but since that's not happening, you have no choice but to go with what you have. Unless Bolland finally gets his legit shot at 2C, Kane is the best option currently on the roster. |

The funny thing is ,if Luongo stayed it would make Canucks much stronger . It is mostly other teams fans that say he needs to be moved. Him and Schneider were the reason we made the playoffs to be truthful.
I think the Canucks are a player or two only from making a big run. Our prospects are very good ,so not everyone is in a hurry including Gillis to make a trade that does not make sense.
This is why salary dumps need not apply - VANTEL
Hey... Certainly a route you can take. And I for one hope that's how it unfolds. I agree. You guys have a very good team. If I were you... I would want him dumped. The years on his deal and his age will make him tougher to deal every year. I and 98% of all hawk fans wanted campbell gone at all costs due to his deal. And he finished top 3 in scoring this year on D. I am just trying to imagine him still here and riding the bench... |
