I won't give you better vision and passing on Krejci vs Kane. Kane may be many things, but his vision and passing are top notch, ask any scout.

As far as Crawford, yeah, he was shaky at times last year, but look at the previous year, especially in the playoffs. He's obviously much younger than Thomas, and based on his previous year, he has shown that he can be a starter, but this is a key year to either prove last year as a down year, or prove whether the first year was a fluke.

He's from London...Kane used to play there you know? You should just bow and kiss his ring to honor his superior Kane knowledge.

Thornton as in Joe or Shawn? I'm pretty sure I would rather have S.Thorton than J. Thorton in the playoffs. S. Thorton may not score a whole lot but he brings useful intangibles to the team especially during the playoffs. J. Thorton does nothing but vanish in the playoffs. Good riddance...

I would take Kane over Krejci everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Krejci gets paid as #1 center but is clearly a #2 in every sense of the word. The B's have Bergeron and Seguin and are loaded down the middle and weak on wings. I do this deal all day long if Thomas cooperated.

Laugh all you want. He is. Especially along the half-boards. His vision and timing is awesome. If he were even the size of Hossa and had Hossa's 2-way mentality, he'd be world class all around and possibly the best player in the entire league.

Giroux is a better passer imo. Look what he did for half the team... and without a sniper or a true star on his line.

On a team that is ready to win now, that has (and has had for some time) a core in place to win, a core that is aging and getting beat up, whose window keeps sliding down the pane - on that team you want to take a chance on a goalie who has to prove himself?

Kane will love the night life in Montreal.....The beer will be strong at first, but he should adjust well..

I like this trade, do it. Then we need to get rid of Crawford......

I'm having diffuclty seeing how the Habs become a better team with this trade. Are we asuming Gomez will be feeding Kane? So the line looks like this:

Kane - Gomez - Gionta

Speed but no size.

Are we assuming Markov will be back to his old form and quarterback the offense (which he does better than Subban) and Hjalmarsson is a better defensive player than Subban also.

If it does not work out like it is assumed, Habs will finish last!

JJ - Would you be in favor of a Kane/Hammer for Subban/Pleks plus pick or prospect trade?

I agree, can't see why Montreal would do it...unless Bergevin has other big moves cooking.

If they trade Plecs and Subban, they have no more value for trade.

I'd say that's why they signed Prust.
Moen, Cole, Pacioretty, Bourque, Eller, White, Blunden aren't small either.
