Sharp, Frolik, and Beach to the Islanders for

Martin, Streit, and Pick.

Then IF a big IF Kane is traded then send Kane, Hammer, Pirri to Columbus for Nash, Brassard, and pick.

Sign Carle and Carkner

Toews-Nash-Stalberg
Brassard-Hossa-Martin
Bolland-Shaw-Bickell
4th line whatever

Seab-Keith
Oduya-Carle
Streit-Leddy

Offense and defense both get a bit bigger and almost the same offensive output.

Martin? As in Matt Martin? As a top-6 forward?

I haven't had the opportunity to educate you yet, but I am available for a nominal fee.

In all honesty the Canucks fans I know are fairly well rounded hockey fans, but they do have an unusual hatred for the Blackhawks and it all surrounds the 2009 and 2010 playoffs. Sometimes they have valid points, but I check them in check when they get out of control.

- DarthKane

What are you talking about? Unusual? There is nothing unusual about it. The hatred is well justified. It's actually refreshing. Sports have become so blah. No real emotion. It's a new situation, but it's one of the best rivalries in hockey, and maybe NA sports.
Everyone gets up for a Van vs Chi game. Players, coaches, fans. It's awesome. I wouldn't have it any other way.
You just happen to root for the wrong team. Not our fault that you sold out. Bandwagons can offer a rough ride…

PS - when Kane gets punted out of Chi what will be your new avatar? Darthoduya?

Another aspect of the Kane Chronicals that no one seemed to take into account is the the other half of the marketing scheme. Toews just came back from a pretty serious concussion. The next hit could be the end for Tazer, if that is the case and we move Kane then where do we turn to?

Oh I don't know, maybe turn this team into a real hockey club that leaves egos at the door, works hard and buys into a team concept, kind of like that team in the Cup Finals. What are they called? The New Jersey something or others?

I like the creativity and speculation of some of these trades, but Bowman has given every indication that he is MAJOR anti-gamble.

So for the people that have thrown out the kane+stalberg++frolik+pick for nash+methot+dorsett+pick or the

bolland+saad+hjarlmasson+pick for staal+pick

type deals, i wouldnt hold you breath on anything along those lines

- FourFeathers773

absolutely agree. I have zero confidence in the current front office to do anything that will get my hopes up.

Oh please. Where have the Devils been lately? Last I checked, the Hawks have had some success recently as well.

The bandwagon talks is a bit dated, don't ya think? Hawks have long had a very strong fan base. Wirtz did everything he could to drive away the real fans.

I'm still waiting for SB to get the better end of a trade. Cheveldayoff (Dudley really) and Tallon must be laughing at those deals involving Campbell, Ladd, Buff, etc.
- moylander

That's the really aggravating thing. Sure, he had to dump some salary, but he basically gave those guys away. There isn't anything significant to show for any of those moves. Buff, if any of those guys, had plenty of value at the time.

True, but DarthKane lives in Vancouver. It's just a little suspicious. Educating Canuck fans??? Most of the guys I know would 'educate' this guys face if he started on about the Hawks and why we should love them. Same goes for Boston and Toronto. Just the type of fan base we are. That should be obvious by now.

Buffalo doesn't really have the assets to pull it off. Aside from Miller and Myers, what does Buffalo have that the Hawks want? Nothing.

...or pining over guys like Ladd, Buff, Versteeg, Eager, Burish, Madden, Sopel, Fernando Pisani. Oh, wait...
- eburgio

I'd take Ladd back in an instant. He's exactly what they need..but then again, they need quite a bit.

Ah, then I get your bandwagon label. Just get a bit touchy when Hawk fans get labeled as bandwagon fans, not that there aren't plenty of them, and they piss me off too. Thought you were making a generalization.

In your wildest dreams do you think that Nash could be had for Kane and the swapping of this years draft pick ?

SO Nash and the #2 Pick for Kane and the #18 pick ??

Or would it be more realistic to see something like HJALMARSSON , Stalberg and Kane for Nash and Brassard or Methot ??

Are the Hawks even on Nash's list ?

Other than Columbus I could see a nice bidding war for Kane's services in the Northeast , Buffalo, Phili , NYR , Boston , Montreal and Pittsburgh . If the Hawks do move Kane they should be able to do very well.

No generalizations. I hate generalizations obviously. We as canuck fans get labeled all the time. But we really don't help our own cause... Our own worst enemy.
I saw this turd driving around in one of those BMW Gran Turismos with a boston bruins window flag last year. Right after the playoffs. I couldn't believe it.

Late to the party because of work, so sorry if this has been posted. Seems to me like trading Kane, who got into trouble in a college town, to a College town with one of the largest student populations, and a city where several Hawk players embarassed themselves and the organIzation with their off-ice activities, does not seem like getting him the help he needs.
