I usually agree with a lot that you post. That bbeing said, this province article is a joke. One pic is with a hottie and Burish is cut out of the picture. Others are countless pictures of him celebrating with the Stanley cup. I understand the arguments here, but losing an elite playmaker at the age of 23 is a ballsy move in itself.

The Canucks fans and media just love to attack the Blackhawks, it's very annoying. I've done a good job of "educating" the Canucks fans I know but the media is terrible. The Canucks just hate all the teams that have beat them in the playoffs.....so it's a long list of teams they hate.

If LA wins the Cup then the past 3 Cup winners would have beaten the Canucks on their way to the Championship (in different rounds).

He did, Mark Dekanich.

If I'm not mistaken, one of his quotes was..."We like Marks potential. We also liked the fact that he's a left-catch, where as Mason is a righty. We thought it was vital that our back-up was the opposite, so that our shooters in practice weren't shooting at two right-catching goalies."

And this guy gets to run an NHL team.

(frank)ing moron.

I don't understand Howson at times. I feel bad as he was in tough last year and had to go all in, but there were things he could've done to at least try salvage the year early. One would've been at the very least signing a UHL goalie to play instead of Mason or at least making Sanford the main guy.

Here's TSNs generic look at the 'hawks off-season game plan. Sounds like a whole lot of nothin'.

Another aspect of the Kane Chronicals that no one seemed to take into account is the the other half of the marketing scheme. Toews just came back from a pretty serious concussion. The next hit could be the end for Tazer, if that is the case and we move Kane then where do we turn to?

Goalies are much are much easier to acquire then most would think.

I dont really disagree with you though.

Seems that way eh.. Bishop had a lot of talk around him and Ottawa got him for a 2nd round pick.

They could very well flip Lehner for a 2nd round pick and come out on top.

I think Nash would consent to come to Chicago, it's a great city and hockey market. Being in the same division as the Jackets I'm sure he'd love the opportunity to show them what they are missing several times per year.
- DarthKane

I agree. Plus he's already familiar with Toews, Keith, Seabrook after playing with them for Team Canada to go along with all the other Canadians (5 or so from Ontario where Nash is from) and I think he'll feel comfortable with the move to Chicago.

How did the ducks get involved with this rumor? For a team that is completely top heavy and lacks d, kane is not going to help. Is the ducks gm, murray, just that terrible?Getzlaf is not the best (and in fact is a terrible captain) but the ducks need him to be successful. They need a big guy down the middle and not having him would leave a huge void.

If I were Burke I'd rather do that deal for Nash.
- Return of the Roar

Burke dealing MORE 1st rounders for a top player... not sure if he'll go down that avenue again. I mean Kessel is a nice player but so would Seguin AND Dougie Hamilton.

"spinning tires"

Seems kind of confused as to where the Hawks are at or what they are going to do. Kind of interesting that both the national media as well as the local ones have about the same depth of understanding regarding the "road map" for the Hawks.

While this is a worst case scenario there is a chance Toews career will be shortened. How much? Who can tell. Concussions are nasty stuff (duh). He could have great stats the next 5 years but there's no way to tell what they would have been without all the head knockin'. You ask a valid question. Although I'd ask it from a hockey perspective instead of a marketing one.

Lehner could probably be had for Saad and Lalonde.

John Jaeckel: Kane On The Block? Oduya, And More
- John Jaeckel

Sorry, late to the dance. Why wouldn't GM Stan Bowman give Buffalo a call regarding Kane? Does that not seem sensible?
