Speaking of Torres have any of you watched the Hawks and Yotes? Torres has been a beast the first two games. Other than Doan and Smith he has probably been their best player.

and to add, if I were Schnieder and I start game 4, come the offseason I am telling the Nucks I wish to be paid as a starting goalie and to either make me the number 1 or trade me so I can be the number 1 elsewhere. He's been patient enough in my opinion and the goaltender position is unique in hockey in that you either are the guy or you aren't and most won't accept being the backup for a career. Schneider shouldn't have to.

I think he tells both goalies they're going to explore all options and do what's best for the team and in the end Luongo will get traded.

It depends on what the other teams sees Schneider as. Is he a capable starting goaltender or is he a legit top 10 starting goaltender? Personally, if the team doesn't have a goalie they can count on, I think he's easily worth a package that involved 2 major assets (prospects, first rounders) and probably a third piece.

I'd be surprised if you got a 1st rounder AND a top prospect for him.

Would probably be a 1st rounder/top prospect + an equal salary dump from the other team plus maybe a 2nd-3rd rounder.

I wanted him back, even this summer I preferred him over Higgins because you need guys like him in your bottom 6 in the playoffs. Not sure why MG didn't want to give him a 2nd year, he probably would have even settled for less money(1.25 or 1.50 mil?).
