As an impartial observer, I can say that I would put more emphasis on the lack of heart this team plays with each spring rather than the coaching staff.

What I'm seeing is the core of this team play with less desire, less will to win and more fear of failure than any core in the league, save for maybe San Jose.

Until the guys in that room want it more than their opponents, it doesn't matter who you put behind the bench.

Motivation doesn't only come from the coach, but from the team leaders and from within each individual.

Look no further than Daniel, Henrik and Kesler's career playoff numbers for proof that playoff hockey is not where they have historically excelled: combined 53 goals and -23 in 234 games. Not what will win the Cup from your 3 best players, regardless of the play of your goaltender.

Despite being a Hawks fan, I'm a proud Canadian who would love to see one of our 7 teams bring the Cup back home (if the Hawks don't win it that its), but the Canucks simply haven't shown the will to win it, or the team play required to do so in my opinion. That amounts to more than just a coaching problem.

Thanks mang!

Sometimes I enjoy it, sometimes it's a pain in the butt...the complaints from all the saints who claim they were just "distributing facts". It's funny how many people get banned who act like Darcy Tucker did when he'd get a penalty...most innocent guy in the NHL.

Like when Hawks fans thought the Mitchell hit on Toews was dirty.

Okay fellows. I'm awake and a little sad. Please keep the thread clean of trolling and insults. If you have done any of that, go edit it before I find it. Playoffs is a ban time to get banned.

I remember that play and I remember the majority of people were fine with the action, bummed out by the result.

Nice. I was way over confident about STL and called a sweep. (dummy)

Say they don't get swept and even come back and beat LA. I am still enjoying this now. Their fans and media have been an absolute bunch of babies about it. Go look at other sites or Twitter. Read how they're acting about the Dustin Brown hit. It's hideous. I can't stand MTL but I have to admit they're 1 million times the better crowd of people than VAN. At least with MTL there is a real rivalry with Boston. VAN and their fans act just like a spoiled brat when they don't get what want.

Keep crying VAN hopefully all the way to an April tee time.

Nobody cares what you think.

Crying about the Canucks crying. Awesome.

Love hypocrisy.

So now its blindside also? (If you were refering to the Brown hit, I couldnet tell) BUT anyway I thought I remember you writing this

But more innuendo keeps being added as the thread continues.

And now its blindside.

There is a slight dichotomy happening here.

Wow, I don't think I've ever had someone look at my writing so carefully! The blindside rule was removed last year, making this a clean hit. A clean hit can still be cheap. He was vulnerable because his head was turned behind him. A cheap shot, but still a clean hit. I hope this helps you.

Agreed.

It was a hell of a hit he put on Toews.

In that case, call it karma for all the cheap shots Burrows has dolled out over the years and move on.

How is a hit a cheap shot and clean? The hit was 100% clean. It's called finishing your check. Just because it's Sedin it's this big stir. What if it was Kassian or Lapierre? We wouldnt hear a thing. It was not a charge either. Brown was in a glide well before contact wear as a charge means your feet are striding up until contact or through contact.

It really was not that difficult. It took all of about 2 minutes to copy and paste.

But Just to sum up and then I'll move on. It was a cheap, blindside, hit to the head but it was clean. So no your reply above did not help.

If by Karma you mean he forgot how to play hockey like a former Norris winner then yes its already happening.

Maybe he needs a little more "elbow grease"

Oh wait, he tried that.
