You just keep dreaming about how bad your team will be once Brodeur retires and ZZach walks this summer

My thoughts...

- We're lucky to get a point. And very unfortunate not to have two.

- Whatever stock you put in the latest EK rumours about Bernier on his way to toronto along with Penner for Grabs+, it's safe to say Gusti isn't getting a whole lot of playing time from here on in. He made good saves, but he let in basically ALL soft goals.

4 years, and the Tucker buy-out (not JFJ's choice, but the contract was) is still on the books for another 2 years, I believe.

But hey, Raycroft holds the franchise record for wins in a season!

In other "statistics that mean absolutely nothing" news: Wilson has the most losses of any active coach in the NHL.

Who is trading #1 goalies?

They need to gamble on a goalie in hopes they get a #1.

Ben Bishop fro St Louis.

Not coaching tonight bud.

Goaltending.

Just heard a guy on FAN590 complain that BB sits on his irish butt and won't sell the farm to get Nash.

Yeah, because that was the difference

A sign he doesn't have the mental make up to play in the NHL on a regular basis. I think he'd be a fine back up but he can't handle the pressure of being heavily relied on, the way he is now.

I think we would have regained 8th because WPG would have taken 3rd and we'd take 8th over FLA
- AngryWhiteMale

FLA has games in hand though...

Toskala 2.0
- wingz4life

At times he is better than Toskala.

At times he is worse.

More than anything, this reminded me of when everyone in Toronto wanted McCabe out of town... then he literally scored on his own net, not a deflection, he shot it into his own net... it may have even been overtime. I know it was late in the game.

... I figured that was the McCabe low point. This is low point for Gustavsson. I would be very surprised if he was a Leaf next season.

Nobody is, which is why Toronto is screwed.
- daeth

So they have to do something. Like trade for Bishop. Waive Gustavsson.

Something has to happen.

But again, and again I can't help but think about Burke and the goalies he had in Vancouver... Oh man.

How about we get Dave Nonis to trade for Luongo again. (frank) the contract. It's the only way the Leafs will get a #1.

Please, Greg Millen, don't tell me that "Gustavsson kept his team in the game." His team scored three goals. He allowed three goals through his fivehole.

In 40 of the Leafs 60 games this season, goaltending has allowed three or more goals.

That is simply unacceptable.

Can't say I've given up on Reimer yet, so selling the farm for Bernier is premature at most, but yes I agree, we'd have 2 points tonight, and a lot more ove rthe last week or two if we had a decent tender.

I still don't buy that rumour...If LA is serious about moving Bernier, they have better options than what we can give.

#Leafs talking to #CBJ about Nash. Seems CBJ have set the price: Lupul+Reimer or Lupul+1st. BB needs to think about this.Nash needs to waive

True or not, would you do it?

- mfreedman

Done.

For Carter or Nash. Reimer would be tough to give up, though, considering Gustavsson will never start in this city again.

we can say that, but they probably wont skip a beat, keep making the playoffs and win a cup in the next 5 years... Toronto would fold up shop and miss the playoffs for the next dozen years

You know, I am not so sure all of us our pissed. Honestly, I found it funny this evening.

The past couple weeks have left a few fans at least not really caring any more.

See how I said "gamble"

Detroit is an anomaly. The game they play I could be in net and thrive... see Joey MacDonald's numbers.

True Gusti's done for the year. It's reimer or someone we pickup from now until monday.

Still, dude, if your in charge of CBJ, you can do much better for Nash than loops if you're rebuilding
