is it? thought Brunette was great on the wall and around the net tonight. - imgross.org
I think it's more likely a relation that we win when we get secondary scoring. Think about what it means if Brunette gets a point. That's either a PP goal, a 3rd line thats playing well, or he's playing w/ 19,88 for some reason. Options 1 and 2 are keys to winning games and option 3 is more like charity points. |

Good answer! - EKolb13
Q's done a good job of keeping the lads on board, making adjustments and turning around the slide. No pink slip for him anytime soon. |

Our GM was busy today...trading Rockford's captain...this off the wire in the game recap.
Chicago swapped minor league forwards with Tampa Bay, sending Brandon Segal to the Lightning for Matt Fornataro. . |

In his 3:51 TOI he didn't hurt, except for forcing Keith to play 32:13 and Seabs 26:44 |

If Q is responsible for the recent adjustments, it's too little, too late in my book. That doesn't matter though because I doubt the changes came from Q's mind. |

Too little too late? Did we miss the playoffs ? And if not from his mind, then who's? Scotty Bowman?

Was at the game tonight and I can say it was one of the better hockey games I've ever seen live. Both teams played well and their was little to no sloppiness. Big win for the Hawks. Few observations.
-Jimmy Hayes impresses me everytime I see him. He works hard, has great size, wins board battles, and has no fear crashing the net. He's starting to look like he can be a real force that the Hawks haven't had at PF since the last few months of Buff. He's what I want/wanted guys like Bickell and Brouwer to be. I think he will only get better.
-Kruger continues to impress also, it took some time after his head injury but he's another guy who's only going to get better.
-Solid game by most of if not all of the Hawks tonight. Defense was great in the 3rd period and if not for some absolutely sick saves by Howard, this could've been a 6-1 game.
-Best I've seen Duncan Keith play in a long time. He looked like 2010 DK, he was everywhere.
-Seabs still doesn't get enough credit. He's an All-Star in my book. However since the Hawks have 19,88,81,10 and 2, he's always overlooked.
Overall great win, need to keep it up and play tough against a desperate Dallas team on Thursday. Don't let up. |

or is the resaon that olson came in and started hitting and the rest of the d fed off it
i think the reason both leddy and olson are playing well is seabs and kith are playing much more responsible and consevative paired with the rookies |

Someone who is much more Hawk nerdy than I should compile a list of available right shooting D-men. I think RFA would be more Stan's style, but you never know. - nathanjf
I Started this list on yesterdays blog with UFA's Here are some RFA righties
Erik Johnson, Matt Niskanen, Jeff Petry, Jonathon Blum, Anton Strahlman, PK Subban, Jamie Mcbain, John Carlson, Cody Franson
Some UFA Righties

It is crazy - he will make rookie mistakes at the worst time in a playoff game or 2. - StLBravesFan
You must have consulted the NHL Defenceman Primer and came up with that warning. Sure, Olsen will make mistakes - just like the other 5 Defenceman will in a game.
There is nothing to see - Olsen is already better than Montador out there and if all there is available in the trade market is some older, slower defenceman who are available at a stiff price why would Bowman do a deal like that and give away assets. (and I'm talking about guys like Kubina and Sutton here).
And I also noticed O'Donnell wasn't dressed tonight and Olsen was - against arguably the best team in the league in an important game. Do you think it had anything to do with veteran, experienced O'D turning the puck over countless times on Sunday? I certainly do. |

Scott puked up the puck along the boards a couple times on those PP's and it almost cost them as the Wings forced Scott to handle the puck....
I can not fathom the rationale Q has for playing with a blow torch and gasoline in using him on PK vs that team in a low scoring game! I would like to hang up and listen for an answer.
How about those Bluejackets a 6 spot vs the Sharks and chase Niemi after 3. It might be division or bust for any of the 3: Sharks, Kings and Yotes! |

I'm a fan of many.
to Chicago: PK Subban
to Montreal: Hjalmarrson, Johns, McNeil
perhaps exchange our first for their second, since, for a reason, they are so highly coveted in trade fantasy. |

Yes Yes Yes These guys are not that great that have gone. Hell Detroit waived Quincy and now they gave up a first to get him back. Could you imagine if Bowman did this.

PK is available...? - Fat_Tony_Amonte
Doubt it but he is a RFA next year and a righty shot. Canadians are most likely going to be sellers so you never know. PK would fit in nice. |
