NO to Schenn and may I add NO to Gardiner in any trade talk
- shmenge

Gardiner, every game I see him play I really think we have something special. Lets hope he stays the course.

Just out of curiosity, what ever happened to Keith Aulie? I thought he was supposed to be really good. It seems like he's just fallen off the face of the Earth lately.

Those are the only ones Id consider. The Vancouver deal is a joke but then again so are the other ones .

Stewart is on the 4th line now so he is falling out of favour.

Must be schenns pimp. But honestly for the right deal I think Schenn can be had. I love how Nik Grossman gets a 2nd and 3rd and yet Grabo and Schenn only gets us Dubinsky and Erixon (no clue who that is).

edit

Dubinsky is the complete package. He's just having an off year.

Never heard of Tim Erixon? Maybe you live in Toronto and only watch Leafs TV.

Then it would cost about 3,8M$ to the Flyers to buy out Bryz, and that for ten more years...

Not unless there is a penalty free buyout at the next CBA

Well, just because someone was drafted late doesn't mean they don't have upside. Besides, he looked pretty good in the few times I've seen him play.

why does everyone say T.O. has a lot of defensive talent. Last year Ek said they were the deepest D in the league. They have 3 legit top 4 d-men in Dion, Liles and Franson who was a steal. Schenn has a huge upside but sometimes guys need a change of scenery and he'd thrive in an environment where team defense is important. Vancouver, Detroit, Rangers, Boston, St. Louis, L.A. and New Jersey would be perfect fits for him.

Detroit: Schenn, Grabo and a conditional for Filppula and Brenden Smith

Rangers: Schenn, Grabo and a conditional for Dubinsky and Erixson

Boston: Schenn and Armstrong for Hamill and Caron

St. Louis: Schenn and a 2nd for Stewart and a 3rd

L.A.: Schenn, Kadri and Kulemin for Bernier and Brown.

New Jersey: Schenn for Zajac and a 2nd

Vancouver: Schenn, Franson, MacArthur, Kadri, 2nd for Schneider, Raymond, Ballard, Rome

Schneider will be a star and will a team 40 games a year. An impact goalie is worth a lot more than an impact forward imo. An impact D-man is probably the most important role and there very few in the entire league that you'd build your team around. Look at the effect a guy like Lidstrom, Pronger and Chara have had on their teams. Weber isn't far behind but hasn't won jack yet. Edler plays once in a while like he's that guy but needs to bring it every game not just once a series, even Niedermayer never did it on his own without a physical partner (Stevens and Pronger). Doughty could be that next guy but he lost his passion after winning gold. There are no other D-men in the league that fit this mold. It's not even close.

So, no that Vancouver deal is not a joke. You're not trading Pronger. You're trading Schenn.

Schneider already is star. But your asking way to much for him. We're giving up 2 top 4 defensemen(that have potential to be better), a top 6 forward, a top prospect and 2nd for a #1 goalie and spare parts nice try buddy and where the Pronger comparison came from I don't know.
