I try to remain calm, use the board to stay informed, but for God sake stop with the Getzlaff and getting Tyler Myers crap. Unless you are talking about your fantasy teams....this borders on absurdity...

Bickell is my guess...Bolland is not going anywhere. He's too valuable both to the chemistry and line balance of this team. - andru2797
I agree. Bickell's salary makes him very desirable to other teams. I'm betting something like:
Bickell, Lalonde, 2nd rd. pick, plus conditional pick (if Kubina re-signs)
-for-
Kubina and Purcell |

He's a useful player but is being cast in a different role now than he is used to and ......Is paid like he is a 20+ goal scorer who would replace Brouwer. - Al
he is useful, but not needed on this team (a soft forecheking forward doesn't help). He is still young, does have some skill and has two 20 goal seasons so no doubt he has value and thus he (and his salary) can easily be moved.
He has no role on this team. We could get a third line checking winger who doesn't score much for a lot less than Frolik...and a guy like Moen actually has an impact when he hits someone.

OH NO please dont tell me you are implying that this was a bad move also and we should have kept Skille. I dont see how florida can be happy with him his numbers are atrocious as ever. - mvp0207
That being said Frolic is lost as a player right now Im tired of seeing him miss opportunities. But the Scott thing is strange. |

Not implying that at all. That being said... which looks better right now? Skille 1 year at 600k or Frolik at 2.3 per for 3 years??
Edit.. Skille was 600k last year. One more year at 825k |

I'd think about doing this. Seems like a good deal for both sides. |

You trade Kane for 3-4 2nd tier players/prospects, you likely lose that deal. You need an impact player back IMHO. - andru2797
Never trade high end talent for secondary level pieces, That's what Darryl Sutter did in Calgary.
And that's why Nash makes sense to me and I would move Kane for him in a minute.
And I'd also do Parise, Kessel, Perry, Getzlaf, Hall, Giroux, Myers. But guess what - Kane won't pull any of those players on a 1 for 1 deal. |

All my talk has been simply "for fun" I cant speak for the others.
AS far as the Myers nonsense right now I'd offer Leddy for Myers. |

He does. And the guy we traded him for is making 3 times the money and being scratched for John Scott... |

I wrote that after the Sharks loss...could be best match-up. - Al
Agreed. Especially if the Hawks are unable to pull off a deal of any substance before the deadline. Don't want any part of Detroit, Nashville or St. Louis in the first round. Sharks, followed by maybe Vancouver is the Hawks best bet, should they make the playoffs. |

I should have been a little clearer, if they trade Kane an obvious area of need would be a top line scorer. So that would be included in the 3-4 pieces.

That depends. Prospects, agreed. Got to get NHL roster player(s) back if you deal Kane, but not all impact players light up the score sheet. The Hawks have plenty of offensively talented impact players, the don't have enough impact role players. If you had 12 Patrick Kane's, you'd have 4 lines full of offensively gifted impact players....but your team would still suck. It's about balance. Trade Kane for 3 Andrew Ladd types, or 2 Ladd types plus a solid D-man...would make the TEAM better. Ever hear the saying "better than the sum of it's parts"? That's what a good team is. There's only one puck. You need guys who are gifted at what they can do without the puck as much as you need guys like Kane. Too many impact players can be a negative if they are not complimentary pieces to the overall puzzle with the right kind of impact role players mixed in.
I aways have said I would rather trade Sharp than any other core player, but if you can get what you need by dealing Kane...go or it. But it better work out, or it's going to get ugly. |

The 20 goal scorer part was supposed to translate into 25+ here and hasn't worked out...
Don't kid yourself there aren't a long line of teams looking to acquire him at $2.33 for two additional seasons....That's not cheap for 3rd-4th line players.
Biggest plus is he is only 24 but still not an easy sell. |

I know nothing of Bollig other than what people say here but that would be a tough first night to cut your teeth on..
Prust and Rupp and good established 4th line guys that could hurt a guy like him. - pri$ey
Better him than Toews.. You know as I that the Rangers play a nasty physical style. Will be interesting to see if they target Toews or Kane like the Sharks and Canucks do. Preds aren't that kind of team. |

Thats more implying if I've ever seen something implied. Frolic at 2.3 was better and is better. |

These are seperate occurences one does not lead to the other. Skille is scratched all the time and has been scractehd this year in Florida.
The Hawks are on a 9 game losing streak and are trying to do something anything to right the ship. Frolic could be in on a trade who knows.
But please stop with this implying that Skille and his salary would be better off here then frolic and his this is just getting crazy now.
