It has to be Scott. Lepisto has been very serviceable. |

Agreed, but I wouldn't be shocked or pleased if it went the other way. |

At what point in the last two years has logic been applied to Scott's position with the Hawks? |

no im not talking in circles
this team is not as talented as the cup team and needs a few pieces
i personally believe they could win the cup with one top four defenseman and two physical forwards even with our average at best goaltending - molly2522
i think a combo of any 3, gausted, roy, downie, erskine, sarich, kubina, moen, regher, puts them right there. they have enough scoring, 1 or 2 of those D's puts a couple of current D's on the bench. adding gausted or downie & roy would be absolutely huge! the goalies will play better with more support in front of them.
i said before , 1 sweep, roy, gausted regher! puts the hawks right there!
maybe even little nicky will quit being such a p u s s y out there if they add a big mean D.i like erskine also! |

That would be disheartening if that were the case. The Nashville game and this game the Def was very serviceable if not borderline good. I roll Keith and Olson, Seabs and Hammer, Leddy/Lepisto and Montador/OD |

I like the idea of Gausted. I don't think Roy or Regher's contracts would work here. Both have a year left at $4 million per. At least not both of them, maybe they can make one work.
Anyways, Roy is a smaller guy. I wouldn't think he's your type of player? |

What do you guys think of Olsen's play tonight? He moved his feet, he hit, he poked... seemed quite serviceable to me... |

I like him more each game , except that one turnover where he tripped over himself by th goal line when he was receiving a pass. No biggie though. SO far , he's been ok. I can see the upside. |

gausted, erskine downie! we got enough skill!! leddy sits till he grows some balls! better yet i trade leddy if he can land me a top flight 2nd line center, we have duncan fricken 8 mill a year keith as our designated stick waver on D already!would love to see downie! a right handed carbomb!erskine is a major league fighter, would probably give big john a run for his doe in that dept.paul gausted ,who would be the 1st 1 i'd aquire could play your 3rd line center with bolly moving up! i'd still keep scott around ......somewhere, even if it is for 35 games a year! i bet he plays sunday and ryan reeves and a few others don't do dd i c k to the hawks kids! sorry to hurt you boys but that is 1 guy i keep . |

Agreed. I posted this on the page before.
If Q has anything to do with it, Leddy plays, O'D and Scott split time, Lepisto grabs his sleeping bag and heads to the press box and Olsen comes back on a bus to Rockford.
If Q has any say in it, you know that's what will happen. - EKolb13
Unless a trade is made, I wouldn't be shocked that once Hjalmarsson and Montador are healthy, the defensive parings will go back to what they were.
It's just one win tonight. While I hope things improve, I'm not going to jump for joy until they actually do improve. With that, I'm still fed up with Q and Kitchen, and I still believe they both should go. |
