Reports...5 Ducks scouts in attendance for tonights Blackhawks-Rangers game .

A question for you insiders , is 5 a lot ? Dont teams usually have advanced scouts at NHL arenas ?

Heres my last point on this Myers for Kane thing. I know its not happening and this is a argument based on principal only...BUT..... First this same trade came up a couple times last year on our blogs and we argued about it.

Next we have hindsighted every move stanbo has made in the last two years including today Jack Skille and called for his head.

But lets say Stan listened to us and if we did make this trade last year and Myers was a -10 with 13 points and 49 hits this season and stan bo gave up Kane to get him: Would we be saying, ......"oh just give Myers time he'll return to form and get better with age" OR would must of be using CAPS LOCKS and bold letters screaming how we traded Pat Kane for this bum. Fire stanbo. Hindsight again, but a more positve kind of hindsight. Sometimes the best moves are the ones you dont make.

Kubina would help and may be the guy they are after. He was held out of practice today and Yzerman as much said he was being moved which probably means he is trying to set up an auction for him.

Frolik would be an overpayment but his contract isn't very appealing. So what do you offer - a 2nd rounder?

Forget Downie, not a Bowman type.

More talented version of Carcillo, who evidently was a Bowman type...?

We wouldn't even be having this discussion about Myers if Bowman had shored up the defence properly instead of signing Montador and trying to inflict John Scott on the team as an NHL defenceman and letting Q keep Lepisto in the press box.

And by the way, Ian White now leads the NHL in +/-. A defenceman who signed as a free agent for about the same $ as Montador.

Downie I would think could be part of Tampa's future plans. He's also an RFA after the season, so I would think he could be pretty affordable for Tampa to keep, unless he has arbitration rights?

However, If Bowman is offering up a pretty good package to get Kubina, I could see him coming back the other way.
