also there can be a ton of great free agents, the nhl will likely do what th nba teams were allowed to do and thats a 1 time buyout that dosent count agasit the cap.

example. luongo, carter, cammy if flames blow up, heatley, havlat, just to name a few

It's like there loyalty is divided, their biases laid bare so they ignore the story.

I love Burkie, but the lengths he goes to defend Wilson boggle my mind.

His friendship with Wilson is clouding his judgment and holding his team back. I don't understand why Cherry isn't allowed to be critical of a coach who hasn't done a thing for this team in 4 seasons.

If there's one thing that's bothered me about Burke's time here, it's been his blind loyalty to his buddy, despite the lack-lustre results. It's a shame because Burke's got a good thing going here with this team.

To be fair, he wasn't just being critical of his coaching. My understanding is that they had a clip of the Leafs doing a tribute to some troops and Wilson wasn't clapping so Cherry said something like "Wilson couldn't care less about the troops". This ignores the fact that Wilson applauds every night when they do Luke's Troops. Cherry took a cheap shot because he doesn't like him.

Anyone hear Bob MacKenzie say on TSN1050 this afternoon that there is talks that Calgary has been asking about Mike Komisarek?
