Ruff has a 7-year extension and a boatload of excuses courtesy of the medical staff.
Also, there really aren't any candidates to replace him with that inspire much confidence for a turnaround.
The system sucks, however. Dare I say it, we need a Mike Keenan in here (not actually Mike Keenan PLEASE) but someone who will cajole, embarrass, punish and piss off these spoiled brats out of their complacency. Keenan became the villain to his team, and they rallied for each other against him.
That or we need a Jacques Lemaire who will just (modified) trap other teams into oblivion. - nfph

I really think Ruff should be the GM, he can bring in someone that he likes to coach, or try his hand at holding both positions. I think he'd try and model the team like how Burke wants to (TRUCULENCE, PUGNACITY). A team like how Boston is built, with a bunch of big strong players that are very tough to play against. - snowstorm077
Considering Burke's record, it's best not to use terms like "upgrade" and "improvement" with his name.
