Schenn and Kadri for Parise would be an extremely great deal for the Leafs.
UFA or not, when you trade for a UFA you get the Devils to negotiate a contract extension first.

Why is this such a big deal? It's pretty routine for Leafs fans to overrate their own players. Back when Reimer had a decent start and Luongo was playing bad there were leafs fans in the Canuck boards saying Schneider wouldn't be the number one on the leafs when at the time was number one on the Canucks.
