Leaf fans were calling him god last year when he went on that run. Not so much no more.

Flyers fans were calling B. Schenn a god after the trade. What's your point?

The leafs goaltending is overrated.

Well I've been hearing it all season until a few weeks ago that Reimer is better than any of the Canucks goalies so yes.....overrated.

So when NJ trades him at the TD or Draft, they're just gonna get a load of poop? OK then!

Not that i put any stock into Eks self serving analysis of Chere's article, but I for one hope Parise does leave.

He is a great all around player. He really excels in all areas of the ice, but he is not a game breaker and habitually disappears when his team needs him most. If he is really looking for 7 million + he can go fornicate himself with a pine cone. He doesn't deserve a penny more than kovy. Kovy for all his faults, can single handedly win games and carry the Devils on his back. (This coming from the biggest kovalchuk detractor on F&I.) Parise, simply cannot. He is an amazing player but the style he employs is not a style that can be maintained year after year. Parise is 95% effort 5% skill. Kovy is 95% skill, 5% effort.

Parise < 6.66. I want to keep him.
Parise > 6.66. Go take a long walk off a very short pier.

As it stands today, NJ is not a contender. Locking up a guy that chokes the chicken in the post season isn't going to change that. I would just assume a 1 for 1 swap for Weber and use the extra time to convince Shea to be Scott Stevens 2.0.

Toronto would be one of the top 3-4 teams in the league if they got him.

I personally want to thank the Vancouver Canucks. If I ever have to teach a player how to hustle off the ice, I'll show the video of one of the sisters fleeing off the ice in the boston game. Great teaching material
