Follow @james_tanner123 The Coyotes played perhaps their worst game ever on Tuesday night. I was going to write about it yesterday, but I was just going to be absurdly negative, so I thought hey I'm busy anyways, let's let this sucker breathe.
After two periods, they were winning 2-1, and being outshot by six trillion. The Coyotes would finish the game with just 15 shots and their luck ran out as the Predators just destroyed them in a third period that perfectly illustrated how difficult it will be for the Coyotes, with this roster, to maintain their playoff position.
If we are to move on, tonight's game is in Detroit and then the team heads to Buffalo tomorrow. I always enjoy a good east-coast road trip since the games are on at a much more convenient time for me, although I am guessing if you live Arizona the east coast games are on at the worst time possible.
I am curious to see how the Coyotes respond after Tuesday's game. So far this year they've seemed to win on nights when they played completely awful.

In roster news, Steve Downie is back, so Richie Cunningham has been sent back to the AHL. Ehhhhhhhhhhhh. (Thumbs up).

I'm thinking Boedker is a great trade chip. No contract, a pure sniper, high ish upside.
Just spit balling but what if he went to the Islanders so Tavares had a sniper to play with and they sent back the other Strome?
I wouldn't be adverse to adding a bit to that deal to make it happen.

Max Domi has the hype, but so far, Anthony Duclair is a far more complete player.

I am very optimistic about the 2018 Coyotes. The current version is still going to be last in the NHL by the end of the year. That is my prediction. It's also the only thing Maloney can be thinking or else, why hasn't he traded for another centre?

I like Tobias Reider, but you need to dress four wingers superior to him to make the Playoffs.
