Two losing nights in a row for the first time in a while, so we need to get things back on track. Last night favs and home teams were 4-1 while totals went over at a 4-0-1 clip too. NYI/BOS - 12:30pm EST - The Isles won both games at home over Boston this season. NYI 7-3 in their last 10 games and BOS 8-2 in their last 10, both teams playing great hockey. No way BOS should be -187. Lean to the under 5.5.
TB/DET - 12:30pm EST - TB is really struggling right now going 4-6 in their last 10 games while going under the total in 7 straight games. TB playing 9 of their last 10 games on the road and it shows in their play lately. The Wings had played better at home all year but lately, they are going getting blown out and are 2-8 in their last 10 games. TB won the first 2 meetings head to head this season. Lean to the under 6.5.
CHI/VEG - 3pm EST - A noon local time start for the Knights are the Hawks are playing their 3rd game in less than 4 nights on the road. CHI won at VEG 2-1 earlier this season but VEG needs this win to stay in th playoff chase. Lean to VEG -200 as they play 6 of their next 7 games on the road.
TOR/MTL - The Habs have lost 4 of their last 5 games but have gone over the total in 8 of their last 10 games. MTL hits the road right after this game for a 4 game roadie. Kallgren will start for the Leafs in goal, with Mrazek starting tomorrow night. The Leafs have Florida on deck tomorrow then Boston on Tuesday. Do the Leafs get caught looking ahead? Each team has won at home this year head to head. Lean to MTL +220.
FL/OTT - The Panthers have the Leafs on deck tomorrow night, this is a classic look ahead spot here, and are playing their 6th straight road game. These 2 teams have split their first 2 head to head meetings this season. The Sens get Drake Batherson back in the lineup after an extended absence due to injury. Lean to OTT +240, great dog spot.
VAN/DAL - The crazy schedule for the Stars continues, they head back out on the road for 4 more games after one game again. The Stars have won 3 in a row and 6-4 in their last 10, while VAN is 4-6 in their last 10 and have really struggled lately. VAN won at home 6-3 over DAL in their only meeting this year. NJ/WSH - The Devils sat rested while the Caps played in BUFF last night, winning in a shootout. The Caps have gone over in 8 of their last 10 games, while these 2 teams split the first 2 meetings head to head this season. Lean to NJ +180 with WSH having Carolina on deck tomorrow.
CLB/MINN - The Jackets sunk a lot into last night's game in Winnipeg with Laine returning for his first game there. The Wild are rested having sat home last night while CLB played then had to travel across the border. The Wild have Colorado on deck tomorrow though, Minny is dominating on this 9 game homestand, winning 4 straight. Lean to the over here. CLB beat Minny at home 3-2 just 2 weeks ago.
CAR/STL - The Blues are 3-8 in their last 11 games and they need this game badly to keep their playoff spot in their division. The Canes have lost 5 of their last 6 games but did beat STL earlier in the season at home. I think STL is more desperate and they play their best game on home ice in a while after getting embarrassed at home in the Philly loss. Lean to STL +105.
EDM/CAL - The Oilers got to rest last night while the Flames played at home against AZ on this 6 game homestand. EDM beat CAL head to head both times at home, while CAL beat EDM at home two weeks ago.
SEA/LA - The Kings have been rotating wins and losses over their last 6 games. LA has been very inconsistent but they need this game at home over a very depleted Seattle team. LA won at SEA in their only meeting this year. Lean to LA on the PL as they play the Kraken in 2 straight at home.
ANA/SJ - Both teams are trending in the wrong direction, but the Ducks have lost 8 in a row. Even though they beat SJ at home twice this season, that was before their team was dismantled at the trade deadline. Lean to SJ -149, with some nice value here.
