Ovechkin the Best of All-Time? J.C is Back (Not THAT J.C) (Ovechkin)

According to Capitals beat writer Isabelle Khurshudyan, the Capitals have called up D Christian Djoos (cool name) a 7th round pick from 2012 who's put up 26 in 35 for Hershey. In addition, they have also called up winger Chandler Stephenson, a 3rd rounder from 2012. It's Stephenson's third call-up.

I will resists making any lame jokes about Friends.

Swedish rapping would be terrible, for the record.

--- I was very impressed watching the all-star game this weekend. I know a lot of people aren't into it, but I thought the format was really cool, really fun to watch.

Even the skillz comp was good.

This was the best part.

The worst part was that the Crosby/Ovechkin line was a dud. But really, what do Crosby and Ovechkin care about allstar games?

-----

Ovechkin was named one of the 100 best hockey players of all-time. These lists may have had some novelty in the past, but internet click-bait has ruined the fun.

Ovechkin should rank somewhere with Gretzky, Lemieux, Lindros, Orr, Bossy, Howe and Crosby, but the list was a P.C crap-fest and they did it alphabetically.

Oh well, anyone with any knowledge of the sport would agree he's top 10. Arguably top five - he is the era-adjusted greatest goal-scorer in NHL history, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to rank him first - can you imagine the kind of numbers he would have put up in the 1980s?

Que the 'oh he doesn't have any Cups' argument. (Note: it's a stupid argument).

The dumbest thing about the list has to be including Jonathan Toews. Brendan Shannahan is pretty borderline.

That's the extent I can get worked up about it.

------

Tonight the Capitals will play the Rangers, on my Playstation. In reality, they will actually play the Islanders tomorrow when the NHL resumes. I apologize for this horrific mistake. It really is ridiculous that a human person could mix up the two New York teams. Also, John Carlson will play.

The end.
