Erik Karlsson talk has been really quiet as of late, almost too quiet (as they say).
Word on the street is Karlsson is really pushing for a solution to stay in Ottawa and is seeking any way he can to somehow manage to mend fences.
The option elsewhere are still wide open...here is what I am hearing:
The Leafs...
Toronto appears more focused on Tavares and are hesitant as to what they would have to move to a team within their division...they were very open to the possibility a few weeks ago however...
The Blues...
St. Louis may be a favorite and could deal a pretty solid D man back to Ottawa...
The Hawks...
They are looking to make major big changes ....the kind that get the presses moving...Karlsson would love to go there.
On Vegas...
They will have the cap space, and were involved at the deadline...but their playoff success could mean they don't want to mess with chemistry...
On Montreal...
The Canadiens are probably the longest shot on this list, but the Molson family has made it known they want to explore every and all options to improve this team quickly without a rebuild...
On the NY Islanders...
The Islanders are a dark horse...If Lamoriello does indeed end up on the Island would there be any better way to convince Tavares to stay than to land Erik Karlsson?
