So my January Buyer/Seller Numbers are out for the Eastern Conference and they are very telling…
Notable Points:
*We continue to see even more of a shift to a Sellers market as we go from 10 buyers and 6 sellers in December to 11 Buyers and 5 Sellers in January.
*8 teams became more “buyerish… while 7 teams became more “sellerish… (not Peter) and one team, Ottawa, stayed the same.
*Toronto saw the biggest jump, 23 points and 4 spots, going from the “Likely Seller… Classification to “Likely Buyer.…
*Next Biggest Movers towards buyers….Columbus (21 Points), Washington (11), Carolina (10) Biggest move towards sellers: NJ down 11 points, Philly down 7, Detroit down 4.
Again, this equation takes 11 factors into account based on my experience preparing for the trade deadline. I will be back later with the Western Conference.
