On the Islanders and Goalies.... The Isles are making it very clear that they are going to try and trade to upgrade their net...I am hearing Crawford and Raanta are both very much on their radar and they want to make this deal "sooner than later to help quell Tavares concerns..."
On the Islanders and Snow... Talking to my sources it sounds very much that Garth Snow isn't going anywhere...Snow and Lou have always been close and Garth has made it quite known just how much he models his management style around him...Lou has quietly mentored Garth as well...
On Tavares and the Predators...
While the odds are looking better that JT could return to the Isles, there is no doubt the Nashville Predators are watching this situation and they have become an attractive option for Tavares...I would think the Preds could put a package together for his rights which would be tempting...and would include Kyle Turris....In that scenario the Predators would get permission to talk to Tavares....don't be surprised when you start to hear the "permission to talk to Tavares" stuff in the VERY near future...
