Prior to the NHL draft, we conducted a mock draft on the site with the commenters and some of the bloggers making the selection. Granted, some of the picks were skewed by the trades made in the mock version of the draft. But I thought it would be interesting to see how we did compared to the real GMs in the league.

What you will see below is the following: - two picks were taken in the correct slot, Jack Hughes and Kappo Kakko, and as expected, after the first two picks, everything else was up in the air
- of the 31 first round picks, the HB GMs picked 24 of those players in the first round. from the remaining seven, six went in the second round, and one -Albin Grewe - went in the third, 66th overall
- we nailed eight of the players who went in the top-10. One went 12th and Cole Caufield slipped to Montreal at 15
