We had no puck luck last with the Blues losing in OT and the Canucks running into a hot goalie. Of course, the LA Kings beat SJ the night I decide to stay away from the game after they lost the last 2 games against SJ when I played them. As I mentioned in my gamenotes, watch Vegas come up with a great effort and beat Florida. Well, they did so, without 2 more defensemen being scratched at the last minute along with their 3rd goalie getting the win and Max Pacioretty missing the game when nobody was aware of another injury. Eichel left the game in the 2nd period with an injury too.
Our grand salami over run has ended after 13 straight nights of winning as it went way under the total last night. The only trend from last night worth noting was that first-period totals went under at a 7-3 clip. We only have a 6 game card tonight, a couple of games stick out but overall not a great Friday card.
PHI/OTT - The Flyers played a huge emotional OT game last night while Ottawa rested. The Flyers got the big OT win over NSH for Claude Giroux and I see a letdown tonight. Plus Giroux didn't accompany the team to Ottawa, so that is a huge loss for the Flyers, no captain! Lean to OTT -120, Vegas has them favoured for a reason.
WSH/CAR - The Canes are so tough at home, but they lost a wild game in TOR last night. Meanwhile, the Caps dominated CLB in a bad spot for the Jackets. Caps have gone over the total in 7 of their last 10 games, while the Canes have gone under in 8 of their last 10 games. WSH has won 6 of their last 7 games and beat CAR in both games head to head this season. Very small lean to CAR -149.
BOS/WIN - The Bruins are without their captain Bergeron, which really affects this Boston as seen earlier in the season when they were without him. The Bruins beat the Jets in January at home 3-2 and are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road. This will also be the Bruin's 12th of their last 16 games on the road, fatigue becomes a factor! The Jets have won 6 of their last 9 games and seem to be trending up, lean to WIN +110.
BUFF/CAL - The Flames just keep on rolling and are getting the Sabres in a nice spot after their game in EDM last night. CAL has a game at VAN on deck, then they come home for a 6 game homestand. CAL beat BUFF much earlier in the season 5-0 on the road. Huge lean to CAL PL -130.
FL/ANA - The Ducks are off a very rough 5 game east coast roadie in which they lost all 5 games. The Panthers played a tough game last night in Vegas and will be playing their 4th game in 6 nights on the road before returning to FL for a few days off before hitting the road again. Not bad a spot to play ANA +180 vs. FL -220.
COL/SJ - Two teams going in different directions plus the Sharks played on the road last night while COL was nice and rested. COL -238 is not worth the price as I find these big favs aren't as motivated playing non-playoff teams on the road. No play here.
