Follow @james_tanner123 The Coyotes lost their eighth game in a row. How long has it been since they last won a game? So long that my mom paged me to complain that I recorded it over the series finale of Dawson's Creek.
In other, more exciting news, At the Drive In have reformed, and released this new song. Warning: this song is awesome.
Because Dave Tippett deserves just as much blame as any of the players, let's take a look at some of them:
1. Michael Stone, who is to playing defense what Donald Trump is to respect for women, played a team leading 26:02, three minutes more than Oliver Ekman Larsson (you know, the Coyotes player who is one of the best players in the entire NHL). OEL didn't take any penalties, and I haven't heard that he was hurt, so what gives?
Stone's ice-time resulted in a CF% of 30%......OK but he was on the PK so maybe it wasn't that bad.......yeah but he was 34% at 5v5........Why? Because he's a PP specialist.
Tippett's plan to play his worst defenseman more than his best defenseman did not work out. Shocker!!
2. OEL only played 23 minutes, including three less than Stone at 5v5 where he put up a 55% Corsi.
When he's on the ice, you're one of the best teams in the NHL............so, now that you've lost seven in a row, here's a great idea: play him less.

3. Duclair and Dvorak get no ice time. Including hardly any PP time.

Who knows, maybe Tippett will bench OEL and give his PP time to Jamie Mcguinn......anything could happen!!

The Canucks - not a good team - have won five in a row. They are some how only 1 point behind the Kings - an actual good team - and the Blue Jackets are the best team in the league...... the NHL has lost the plot.
