Scott a game-time decision, could play defense (Buffalo)

Tonight's game is a good measuring stick for the Sabres. Coming off arguably their best performance of the season against Winnipeg, how will Buffalo handle the big, bad, Bruins?

If the Sabres get three or more goals, I'll be impressed. I do expect another honest effort, though.

With an optional practice this morning, John Scott is a game time decision. If he does play, he might be playing defense.

The Sabres have focused more on toughness, especially in games against Boston, in the recent past it seems. I'd like to see them keep their focus on competing and scoring.

These steps forward are important, but if they were to go for the physical approach to the Bruins and get beaten, that's a step back. The games against Boston can be entertaining, but it's important for Buffalo to keep working on the types of things they have been doing well. The Bruins can control they physical aspect of the games, which may throw Buffalo off its' game plan.

Tuukka Rask has been great all season, so this could very well be a low scoring game for Buffalo. The defense will need to stand tall, or taller, to help out Miller tonight.

There are three teams remaining in the NHL that don't have ten goal scorer this season, with Buffalo being one of them. Mouslon has 12 on the season, but only six with the Sabres. The other two teams are Florida and Nashville.

The leading goal scorer for the Panthers? That would be Brad Boyes with nine goals. Defenseman Shea Weber leads the Preds with 8 goals.
