Single Game Tickets go on sale today for the Preds. You can get tickets for 34 of the 41 home games today at the Bridgestone Arena box office or Middle Tennessee Kroger Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets then go on sale online this coming Monday, but they are only available to the Predators television viewing area. Worldwide sales begin on 9/8.
There are seven games that are only available for full, half and 13 game flex plan ticket holders. This is due to an overwhelming demand for these tickets as the ability to purchase All-Star tickets comes with those packages.
After last year’s 30 sellouts at home… you may want to get your tickets early.

The Slava Voynov situation just took an unexpected turn as he was taken into custody by United States immigration officials to face possible deportation. The 25 year old LA Kings defenseman is being held without bond pending a hearing. Well… that would be a way to resolve this situation…

Saturday Random Notes
- Great to see the captain back on the ice. Shea Weber has been taking part in informal skates over the past few days, fully recovered from the knee injury that took him out of the first round series against Chicago.
- One of the best quotes from the captain, “I spent a long summer thinking about that playoff series and what could have been.… Good news for Pred Nation as Weber always plays his best with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
- Former Nashville Predator Rich Peverly has announced his retirement after his cardiac incident… he looks to be joining the Dallas Stars front office as a member of the player development department.
- More former Pred news as Scottie Upshall has been invited to Blues training camp for a tryout. Upshall has played over 12 seasons in Columbus, Phoenix and Philly after starting out with the Predators.
- The Patrick Kane situation had gone quiet for quite a few days until yesterday’s news broke about a grand jury being held on Tuesday, September 8th. Apparently, everyone who was at Kane’s house on the night of the alleged incident has been subpoenaed.
- Phase three of the NHL’s expansion process ended yesterday… the whole hockey world waits to see if Las Vegas, Quebec City, both or neither are approved for a franchise.
- Give the Florida Panthers credit for some really awesome outreach programs… games broadcast in Spanish, visits to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas… and this year, a trip to the Dominican Republic to put on street hockey clinics and visit hospitals. Florida Panthers… the team of the Caribbean?
- So, Phil Kessel has lost 13 pounds coming into training camp. Wonder what the Toronto media will get on him about next? Wait what? He’s not in Toronto anymore? Oh…
- 12 days to the opening of training camp, 15 days to the preseason opener, 33 days to Opening Night.
