The day is still young my friends....and yet the Leafs have moved 5 pro contracts to the NY Islanders...for Grabner....
What does all this mean?
Why would BOTH of these teams make this move now?
This is an obvious precursor move for both sides...
The Leafs now have the freedom to sign some of their PTO's....all of which have trade deadline moves written all over them.
This move is managing assets. Clear and simple...
And then....there is Bozak...
For a while there all went very quiet in Toronto, but today the rumors surrounding Tyler Bozak have once again surfaced with a source telling me he would put it at "60/40 Bozek is elsewhere by October 1." The teams interested are Carolina, NJ, Arizona, and the LA Kings (who are getting some much needed Cap relief.)
The asking price is a second and third...
