August is a great month, hockey social media gets all caught up in the Blue Jays and then it all comes crashing down around the beginning of September. It's so quiet you can hear the friends and families of Stanley Cup champions showing off the cup in their home towns.
So what to do while on vacation? Take some questions I say.
Ask about the Jets, the NHL, my vacation, anything. Let's debate something I know nothing about.
I will talk about one thing that might spur some conversation- how heavily do teams need to their bottom 6 forwards?
The reason I ask this as that area seems to be a constant recycling depot for the Jets with many attempts to stabilize or recreate a solid bottom six forwards that can play equal minutes and take pressure off the top two lines.
Are Jets fans content with what they see in bottom six right now?
Will there be competition brought in to fight for spots?
If you had to add one player to the Jets 3rd or 4th lines who would it be? Aside from planting Thorburn in the press box who should be displaced?
Let's make something happen in the dog days of summer.
