Update 4:30pm Steve Bernier invited to camp on PTO.
With training camp getting closer and closer there is a little bit of news that isn’t really news but at this time of the year it at least sparks a conversation. The Isles have offered a contract to veteran defenseman Marek Zidlicky. There has been no word yet on what Zidlicky will do but as I have said in the past he would fit in well in a depth role.
No news yet on restricted free agent Brock Nelson. The Islanders have had an offer on the table for weeks but there has been no response from Nelson’s camp. I still think a deal will get done but this story is getting weird.

We asked him about the evolution of music at hockey games, the move to Brooklyn and how unique the Stadium Series was.
