The Islanders announced yesterday that the Philadelphia Flyers and New York prospects will square off at the Northwell Health Ice Center on September 21st at 6PM. The game will be held at the Al Arbour Rink which is now the team's official practice rink.
This will be a chance to watch two teams with very strong farm systems and a chance to watch the likes of Mathew Barzal, Joshua Ho-Sang and Michael Dal Colle. Tickets for the game are now on sale and are 20 dollars. All proceeds from the game will go to benefit the Islanders' Children Foundation.
In other news ESPN's NHL prospects rankings are out. Like everything else on that site you need to pay for insider access to read the article. However the Islanders are ranked at number 7. Take it for what its worth. Now going to ESPN for hockey news is like going to McDonald's for a salad but this just gives us something to argue over at the end of August.
