The Islanders will unveil their new third jersey on September 21. Sources suggest that the jersey will be released in a few weeks and be available for purchase on the 23rd.
The jersey, to no one's surprise will be black and white. The Islanders have had black third jerseys for three seasons before being replaced by the popular Stadium Series jersey last season.
The jersey logo may even be release in the public eye now. The Barclays Center has been promoting the Islanders throughout the city. Thanks to Daniel Friedman for tweeting this pic.
Both of the logos in the pic are promising. The NY without the Island, used in the Stadium Series jersey and Brooklyn written in script, a tribute to the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Knowing this fanbase, some will be unhappy.
