How Would You Grade The Calgary Flames' Off-Season? (Flames)

With training camp just two weeks away it is becoming more apparent that what you see on the roster now is what you'll see when the Calgary Flames open camp.

Obviously there could be a move or two to clear some bodies and there will likely be a few training camp invites but for the most part the roster is set.

GM Brad Treliving already did the heavy lifting when he acquired a rising star in Dougie Hamilton to take a big chunk of the load off the shoulders of Mark Giordano and T.J. Brodie.

Beyond those additions Treliving's time has been spent retaining what the Flames already had as Karri Ramo and Mikael Backlund, among others, signed contract extensions. The most notable player to commit to the Flames was, of course, captain Mark Giordano, who recently signed a six-year extension.

Treliving hasn't added much to the team in quantity but the players he brought in could certainly be described as quality.

As the roster is currently assembled there aren't many glaring holes. The Flames could use an upgrade in the 6/7 spots on the back end but Giordano, Brodie, Hamilton, Kris Russell and Dennis Wideman certainly form a more than adequate top-5.

They could also use another top-9 winger but with Johnny Gaudreau, Jiri Hudler and Frolik leading the charge they should be OK there, too.

So, with all this in mind, how would you grade the team's off-season?
