The Montreal Canadiens are looking to extend their perfect 5-0 record tonight as they face the Detroit Red Wings at the Bell Centre tonight. The Red Wings are coming off their first loss of the season to the Carolina Hurricanes last night. Tonight though they will receive reinforcements as Danny DeKeyser and Darren Helm are returning from injury and will be in the lineup. The Canadiens held a full practice today but are not making any roster changes. The Red Wings present another strong challenge for the Canadiens.
Here are 5 Q's heading into tonight's game:
1) How much longer will the Canadiens good fortune last? The Canadiens are playing complete games and getting contributions from the top to bottom of the lineup. Will the Red Wings be the one's to break the streak?
2) Which Canadiens line will be the difference maker tonight? So far in each game, one line has led the team while the others still performed well.
3) When will Carey Price come back to Earth? His play has been other worldly and there is no reason to think that he cannot keep his play up, especially if the team continues to defend well in front of him.
4) Is tonight the night that a Canadiens defenceman scores a goal? The defencemen have been a big part of the Canadiens success thus far, pushing the puck up the ice and helping to keep the play going when pressing.
5) Who do you think will score more goals this season, Alex Semin or Tomas Fleischmann?
In AHL News, the St John's Ice Caps earned their second victory of the season as they beat the Rochester Americans 5-2 in their home opener.
