Ducks Trade for Another Goalie
Yesterday the Ducks swung a minor deal yesterday with Montreal. Goalie Dustin Tokarski was acquired in exchange for forward Max Friberg. Initially it was thought Anaheim made the deal due to an injury John Gibson received in Wednesday's 4-0 loss to Toronto. Gibson is fine, in fact he should start tonight. The addition of Tokarski gives Anaheim five goalies with NHL experience. That's at least one too many. It also begs the question, is this the first domino in a bigger plan?
Also, as far as we know Tokarski and Friberg did not cross paths at the airport.
St. Louis @ Ducks
Tonight the Blues come to the Honda Center to take on the Ducks. St. Louis' season so far has been somewhat of a disappointment. Their offense has struggled, putting up 104 goals. Of course it isn't nearly as disappointing as Anaheim's paltry total of 72. Jiri Sekac makes, his return to the lineup in place of Mike Santorelli. On defense, Clayton Stoner remains out leaving the same six blueliners, the Ducks have used over the past week. Bruce Boudreau will switch up the pairings, however. As mentioned above, John Gibson will start in goal. Here is your lineup: Forwards Rakell-Getlaf-Perry Hagelin-Kesler-Silfverberg Sekac-Horcoff-Cogliano Maroon-Thompson-Stewart
Defensemen Vatanen-Bieksa Lindholm-Holzer Theodore-Manson
