Calgary Flames Invite Jason Bell To Young Stars Tournament (Jason Bell)

The Calgary Flames have invited defense prospect Jason Bell to join them at the 2015 Young Stars Tournament this fall.

The 6'2', 190 pound blue liner was not chosen in June's draft after a respectable campaign where he tallied 29 points in 63 games split between Cape Breton and Saint John.

Those numbers won't 'wow' anyone but they are actually quite impressive for a first year draft eligible.

Bell averaged .46 points per game (9th among draft eligible defensemen in the QMJHL) and had 121 shots on goal (8th) including 40 dangerous shots (2nd), according to CHLStats.ca.

Again, his raw totals don't jump off the page but the numbers suggest he is quite capable of contributing offense from the back end.

Bell will have the opportunity to prove that when the Young Stars Tournament gets under way September 11th.
