Wild Look To Turn Tables On Flames (Wild)

Not a lot needs to be said ahead of tonight's rematch with the Flames, this time in St. Paul. The Wild were outplayed, out worked. And embarrassed on Saturday night by the Flames in Calgary.

That Flames team could have said the very same things after being thumped by the Canucks 7-1 in their prior contest. They came out angry and ready to right the ship and show that the Canucks debacle was just a bump in the road.

They for sure made a statement, and tonight the Wild have their turn to make one of their own. It is March and the heat has been turned up. Every point from here on out will be fought for tooth and nail.

The Wild players showed up to practice with something to prove. They know they were not playing their game, and no where near the level that is necessary to compete with the top teams.

Cam Talbot gets the start in goal for the Wild and he personally wants to redeem himself as he is on a personal three game losing streak. Cam knows he is the expected starter, but hisbhold on that spot is tenuous at best right now.

It is put up time for the Wild as they believe that they belong in the contender conversation, their play over the last month or so says otherwise.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
