Random Wednesday Notes

- Another bubble burst at camp yesterday as Cody Bass was sent down to the Admirals, not entirely unexpected as Cody McLeod has the enforcer role well secured. SO there are now 26 players left in camp… at least three cuts to go.

- Nick Bonino has stayed under the radar in camp, although he has looked solid in practice, he is being kept out of preseason games as a precautionary measure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him test out in one of the last two games though.

- Perusing the season preview articles about the upcoming season, a predominant theme for Nashville is “Can Nashville handle the challenge of staying on top?… It’s a fair question… and given the chip on the shoulder of every member of the team I have spoken to, given the clear sense of mission… my initial though is… yup.

- A lot of preseason prognostications have Chicago falling… I can see it happening, but I also remember that it took several years of predicted Red Wing doom before it finally happened to them.

- Las Vegas got their first look at the Golden Nights last night with an almost capacity crowd at T-Mobile Arena… decent atmosphere for a preseason game as the Knights dropped an overtime decision to the LA Kings.
