Follow @james_tanner123 The Washington Capitals have the advantage in the Stanley Cup Final.
The series is tied at ones and, at least until the Knights win on the road, the Capitals have the advantage. But that is threatened by the loss of Evgeny Kuznetsov. Who suffered a "mysterious" "upper-body" injury when he was hit into the boards last game.
Of course, he went down holding his left arm, so it could be anything. Mostly likely an injury to the right shin. That's where I'm putting my money.
He will.
Probably.
Kuznetsov, by the reports of everyone who attended the Capitals practice this morning, which does not include me, skated in a contact jersey and looked good to go.
So he's probably going to play.
But the day off sucks. The calendar just turned to June, which means hockey should be over by now. So extending it is kind of annoying. Even if you don't mind summer hockey, it should be noted that the extra day also kills the momentum of the first two, totally sweet, games.
The good news is that the Vegas pre-game show for game five is already underway. Carlos Santana and his Satanic sidekick Rob Thomas are currently playing an unprecedented four day long extended version of their Y2K causing 1999 hit "Smooth."
Enjoy your weekend!
