Last night was definitely one of those nights where I should of listened to my gut and just waited until Thursday night to make some plays. The Leafs played solid hockey without Tavares on the road in Philly while the Stars just can't get it together, even against a team playing their 5th straight on the road. The Wild dominated the Yotes, enough said!
At least tonight, we have an 11 game card with plenty of good spots for teams.
LA Kings playing 3 in 4 nights on the road but Ottawa is decimated by the Covid protocols, either play LA or stay away from this game. LA has won 6 in a row, after losing 6 in a row. Go figure!
Bruins are 5-0 at home but their goaltending has been suspect. Wings really took it to the Oilers the other night, Edmonton on the road for a 5 game roadie. Small lean to Boston.
Florida at Pitt is a tough one as the Panthers are only 3-3 on the road, while Pitt is still without the 2 big stars. Panthers 3rd in 4 nights on the road too. Florida is only -120, seems like a fishy line. Small lean to the Pens at even money or a slight dog depending on where you bet.
NYI are at the Devils, Islanders off since Sunday, and the Devils off a massive win over Florida. Let down spot for NJ and the Isles don't play again until Monday. Strong lean to the NYI.
Flames at the Habs as they start a 7 game roadie. Calgary is 5-1 on the road and Habs are without Drouin and possibly Dvorak. Lean to the Flames here at a nice price -131.
Detroit is a totally different team at home at 4-1-2 and really brought it against the Oilers the other night. Wings are still a dog after beating the Caps in Washington last week at +115. Small lean to the Wings.
Jets are only 2-2 on this homestand but they catch a depleted Sharks team with 5 players still out with Covid. Sharks winning in Calgary the other night was a very misleading score, Calgary dominated! Strong lean to the Jets -175.
Preds are playing their 6th game in 10 nights on the road. Weird enough, they have rotated wins and losses on this current road trip. W-L-W-L-W-LOSS tonight in STL! Blues off a 4 game roadie with Carolina on deck though and 14 of 23 combined between these two teams have gone under the total. Strong lean to the Blues -175.
The Canucks are a very live dog tonight at Colorado. Avs are without their 2 best defensemen along with MacKinnon and have been off since Saturday. They looked awful in 2 straight losses to the Jackets too. Vancouver has been better on the road after going 2-5 on their recent homestand. Lean to the Canucks +160.
Vegas is sitting rested at home while the Wild played in AZ last night but for me, it won't matter. Minny is 5-2 on the road and sooooo want revenge on this Knights team from last year in the playoffs I'm told. Vegas as we all know are without their big guns at forward and are only 3-3 at home this season, due to injuries. Lean to the Wild at -105.
The Ducks have won 5 in a row and now visit the Kraken for the first time. Seattle is starting a 6 game homestand where they are 3-2 in their new digs versus 1-6-1 on the road. The problem is the Kraken are without 4 players at center, which hurts a ton especially for an expansion that doesn't have the depth that more established teams have. Ducks are a live dog at +150!
