The NHL announced that it WILL be returning two the Olympics on 2026 in Milan as well as 2030. On the off years, every 4 years, starting in 2028 they will be hosting the World Cup of Hockey...(aka "The Artist Formerly Known as The Canada Cup."
There is no doubt this is what the players want...anc personally, I have always believed being in the olympics is the BEST advertisement the NHL can ever put together...I;'ve always felt the NHL lacks "casual fans" and the Olympics is the best way to reach the every day sports fan. People who have never watched an NHL game, have seen the Olympics. And that matters...especially in the states.
