Looking to Get On A Roll, Wild Face Sens (Wild)

Tonight the Wild visit the Senators in Ottawa in search of their first back to back victories of the young season

The new lines performed well with Brandon Duhaime taking advantage of his expanded role playing with Joel Eriksson Ek. Duhaime scored the GWG while Eriksson Ek had the other two Wild tallies.

Marco Rossi played a strong game between Marcus Foligno and Matt Boldy drawing some serious trust from Dean Evason, with his play late in the game with the Wild holding a one goal lead.

Tonight will be a much tougher opponent in the Senators who boosted their roster in the off-season, adding Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux to the young offensive nucleus Ottawa has been assembling.

Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stuztle, Drake Batherson', and Josh Norris (out with a shoulder injury) have made the Senators a formidable offensive squad prior to the additions of DeBrincat and Giroux.

The obvious Cam Talbot vs. the Wild would typically be an underlying story but Talbot is on the shelf with a rib injury so we'll have to wait for that until the Senators visit the XCEL Energy Center, a week before Christmas.

Mason Shaw steps back into the Wild lineup in place of Tyson Jost and Alex Goligoski will again be a healthy scratch.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
