Here are some recent happenings over the past few days regarding the Penguins.
John Tortorella and David Quinn bring more than 60 years of experience to Team USA’s coaching staff for the #4Nations Face-Off in 2025.

While there is a legit conversation to be had about Mike Sullivan and his job performance, this kind of neuters any real talk about moving on from him as head coach. There’s just no way the Penguins fire him when he is leading up Team USA in a version of a best-on-best tournament. He’s here for the foreseeable future. Hiring David Quinn gives Sullivan a soft reset in the sense there is bought time with a new staff.
The Penguins made a signing.

I don’t have any expectations of the signing. It looks to be a body for camp and perhaps some depth down in the AHL. Throughout his career path he has shown little to no offensive pulse which is usually a red flag for me in the lower levels. Also, not being able to consistently crack the current Sharks lineup is another reason to be indifferent here.
Cody Glass will be wearing #19 with the Penguins and he’s up against it
easily the most cursed number a player can wear for the pens. either you're a huge disappointment, stink, or get traded away https://t.co/1V5so8iWJB pic.twitter.com/TfK2iJJPH8

I think he will be in the traded away category. He is 25 and young enough for other teams to still want to take a crack at it. So the Penguins could get paid to take him and get paid to ship him off, an ideal outcome.
