First post deadline game for the Wild happens tonight in Calgary. Of the new additions, only John Klingberg will.make his Wild debut tonight as Oscar Sundqvist had flight issues from Detroit.
Brandon Duhaime was sent back to Minnesota to be evaluated by team medical staff. Sam Steel will draw back into the lineup and play with Freddy Gaudreau and Marcus Foligno.
Marcus Johansson will play his second game back with the Wild on the second line with Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy.
John Klingberg will pair with Jon Merrill, but his biggest presence will e felt on the Wild powerplay where he should be a huge boost to that unit. Klingberg was for many years a Wipd killer when he played for Dallas teaming up with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. Hoping that he can find that form with his new club and help jump-start their struggling offense.
Klingberg was relieved to hear that he was dealt at the very last minutes leading up to the deadline. He is anxious to get playing with the Wild, as he readily admits it was not going well in Anaheim to say the least.
