The New York Islanders and forward Josh Ho-Sang have avoided arbitration, agreeing to a one-year deal worth $700,000.

Despite the contract extension, Ho-Sang’s future with the organization doesn’t look overly bright. He didn’t play a single game with the Islanders this past season and hasn’t played more than 10 NHL games in a season in two years. Ho-Sang also asked for a trade about a year ago and according to The Athletic’s Arthur Staple, Lou Lamoriello recently said “we’ll have to see… as to whether or not Ho-Sang has a future with the Islanders.
The arbitration hearing would’ve taken place on October 30.
