The Wild return home tonight looking to continue the home streak they began earlier in the week with wins over Montreal and Edmonton before being running into Pekka Rinne and the Predators in Nashville Thursday falling 4-0.
Los Angeles is a team in transition much like the Wild. The Kings have been up and down showing glimpses of solid efforts sprinkled around dreadful performances. They come into the game with a record of 4-6-0 and are coming off a 5-2 defeat in St. Louis which ended their own two game win streak that had seen the Kings defeat Calgary and Winnipeg by 4-1 and 3-2 scores respectively.
Devan Dubnyk will again be out of the Wild lineup as will Jordan Greenway and Kevin Fiala.
For the Wild they will need to get the legs going and figure out how to generate some offense. They have been blanked now for five straight periods after scoring three quick goals 8m the first period Tuesday en route to their 3-0 victory over the Oilers.
This is a game the Wild can surely compete and putting some pucks in the net could do a lot for a team working it's way out of the eqrly season hole they have dug themselves.
It's always Hockey Day in the State of Hockey!
