Anyone who thought that Lane Hutson was a one season wonder and would hit a sophomore slump must be questioning their sanity at the moment.
Like I said many times last year, this kid is for real and boy is he ever. He currently has 75 point in 78 games and is a +34. I simply do not understand why there is not more talk of Hutson being in the Norris race. I do not understand why he was snubbed for the Oylmpic (at least put him on the taxi squad. Again, like Cole, they did not have a World Championship Pass.
Total Domination
The thing that standsouit for me about Hutson is that he has the ability to totality dominate a shift. All the D in the top ten currently are all excellent players, but I really find Hutsom is in the upper echelon along with Huges and Makar. Hutson is an elite player, however he is always dismissed in favour of other defensmen. People say he needs to work on his defensive game but a +34 goal differential kinda says otherwise....I'm not saying he should absolutely win the Norris Trophy, but if her finishes the year strong, it should at least be hard for people to outright dismiss him.
