Yesterday Hockeybuzz.com's Josh Rimer wrote about this and we discussed this at length this week and last on the Buzzcast, and today Bob McKenzie from TSN tweeted out that it is indeed happening.
Rutherford is definitely the best option for the Penguins out there and honestly quite the win for the team. When Ray Shero was fired, we all wondered how the Penguins, in their current state, could find a GM who was a step up. Well nothing at all against Ray, but they actually did.
Rutherford is a great GM who is amazing at making trades. Maybe the best pure trader in the business.
